Name Origin
The stone was originally named the 'Middleton Muckle' and was discovered and used as part of a stone festival in 2012 and left forgotten. The stone was rediscovered and renamed the Teesdale Feat Stone due to its re-siting overlooking Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Stone Placement
Rediscovered and placed by @sherlock_stones, @harrys._.gym and @jonoliftsthings just off the Pennine Way footpath overlooking the northern Pennines.
Access and Permissions
Permission gained from the farmer landowner.
After an attempt, the Stone must be returned to its original position and left in substantially the same condition in which it was found, where it is safe and appropriate to do so, unless otherwise agreed with the landowner or site manager.
