Name Origin
The stones name - Pilgrim in Latin translates to foreigner or traveller, derived from 'per '(through) and 'ager' (land) - Thorough Lander.
Many Neolithic Britons would have made it through the land to the stone circles situated on Stanton Moor at specific points of the year to celebrate and pay respect to their ancestors where the vail between worlds was most thin.
